Swiss duo NEVERCREW (Christian Rebecchi and Pablo Togni) completed “Souvenir” in Vienna this year — a monumental mural depicting a bear surrounded by Arctic fragments assembled like pieces still on a plastic punch-out frame. The work literalizes how we now experience nature: mediated, constructed, arranged from a distance rather than inhabited. “It is no longer a space experienced through relationship, but a distant construction,” the artists write. Each building-scaled mural in their practice holds that tension between wild presence and urban containment. Source: Colossal
