Lundgren+Lindqvist’s WA3RM: Tomato Boxes Cut From the Same Paper Mill Whose Waste Heat Grows the Tomatoes

WA3RM’s first site, Regenergy Frövi in Sweden, pipes surplus heat from a Billerud cartonboard mill into a 100,000-square-metre greenhouse growing 8,000 tonnes of tomatoes a year. Gothenburg studio Lundgren+Lindqvist gave it a wordmark with stretched horizontal joints that echo the heat pipes, and a “From Paper to Pomodoro” giveaway box die-cut from unbleached board milled at that very factory, silkscreened and handed to visitors to fill with three tomatoes. It’s circularity you can actually hold. Source: Abduzeedo
