Carolina Incerti’s A Book for Making Books: A Self-Publishing Guide Designed to Be Torn Apart

Graphic designer and researcher Carolina Incerti’s guide to self-publishing is meant to be destroyed: its pages are cut, torn and folded into eight physical templates for making zines and books. The project grew out of Open Books, a weekly bookmaking club she founded at the Art Academy in Bergen to shift design education away from the perfect final outcome and toward collective, experimental autonomy. The instructions don’t just describe making — the object itself becomes the raw material. Source: It’s Nice That
