Beachman’s Aviator Puts 1960s Café Racer Lines on an Electric Frame

Toronto’s Beachman Bikes has unveiled the Aviator, a three-configuration electric motorbike line drawn from the café racers riders were building out of production bikes in the 1950s and ’60s. The range runs from a Class 2 e-bike (2.8kWh/55 miles or 4.3kWh/80 miles, 20mph on road) through a 45mph Light Motorcycle to a forthcoming 125cc-equivalent flagship with a 125-mile range — all on a new frame that turns the space where a fuel tank would sit into a lockable two-gallon storage compartment. What makes it worth a look is the restraint: leather bench seat, minimal dials, retro colour options across tank, grips and saddlebags, and a deliberate absence of screens or apps.
