Designed by Masae Nagao and produced by TAKEO Co., PÉPET is a palm-size paper character with two eyes and a stem for a nose, sold under names like Dandel, Fuji and Sky. Each one is composed of more than 400 layers of coloured paper, so it wobbles and ruffles when handled. A new edition named Pomme, drawn from the saturated red and green of apples and their leaves, arrives on 14 October.
