To mark the centennial of the Art Deco Richard J. Riordan Central Library, the Los Angeles Public Library has unveiled the largest pop-up book ever created. Conceived by L.A.-based artist and printmaker Daniel González with paper engineering by Matthew Reinhart, the monumental volume—‘Luceros y Penumbras’—celebrates a new century of reading through spectacular paper architecture.
