For the 2026 BFI London Film Festival, Pentagram partner Marina Willer built the LFF letters not in software but from cut-outs and coloured light projected onto a black background, then filmed and photographed for movement. Hanging letters, handheld camera work and a rotating table produced motion in-camera before any digital dramatisation. Research also found light blue unclaimed by any major film festival, giving the identity a colour of its own alongside the familiar deep purple and warm pink.
