DeafCity Hub is a mixed-use cultural space built to platform Deaf talent, and Templo’s identity for it starts from the premise that communication exceeds the spoken word. Motion-tracking software captures real hand gestures rather than animating approximations of them, producing a modular typeface enclosed in bubbles — ten letters for ten fingertips — that breaks apart into a wave. A pink and orange palette deliberately departs from the visual conventions of other Deaf-led identities.
