Belgian studio Raak Design reworked VisionTech’s nasal speculum by threading a light tube up the inside of the handle and ending it in an LED, so ENT doctors no longer juggle the instrument and a separate penlight. The electronics lift out for sterilisation, while the spring mechanism disappears inside a sculpted handle that looks calmer and less clinical in a patient’s face.
