Ross Gendels and Zane Miller’s Quest is a free, reader-funded web magazine for science fiction and fantasy in which every story gets its own commissioned artwork, typeface, colour scheme and layout — issue two ran 11 typefaces across nine stories, an essay and an artist dispatch. Built with Ji Park, Tiger Dingsun and Teo Tsivranidis, the site borrows from MMOs and old internet forums, wrapping the reading in a levelling system, chat, sound and video.
