Brooklyn-based Mu Pan draws on Buddhist mandala traditions to build explosive, eccentric acrylic scenes on paper and wood panel, where animals, humans and plants hybridise into surreal, densely packed configurations. Every tiny figure is rendered in obsessive detail; as Pan puts it, each small image is like a drop of blood containing multiple universes. Micro MUniverse is on view at Hashimoto Contemporary in New York through October 10, 2026. Source: Colossal
