Nicola Turner: Time’s Scythe — Monumental Recycled Wool Surges Through a Yorkshire Chapel

Nicola Turner’s solo exhibition Time’s Scythe fills an 18th-century converted chapel at Yorkshire Sculpture Park with a bulging form made from recycled wool and horsehair, hand-stitched inside mesh to create dense, knotted masses. The pale structure creeps through openings in the architecture, spilling from an upper aperture and wrapping the building’s exterior — a shift toward something spectral and restless from Turner’s darker previous works. The show runs through September 27 in Wakefield. Read more on Colossal
