For Bottega Veneta’s Summer 2027 show, Ukrainian artist Illya Goldman Gubin turned ordinary cardboard boxes into seating by physically embracing and crumpling each one with his body, then fixing the form with resin and fiberglass. The folds, creases and interlocking flaps stay visible, echoing the woven leather strips of the house’s Intreccio — so every stool is a one-off record of the encounter that shaped it.
