Roy Adriaens, an ArtEZ dropout who started his eponymous Amsterdam label in 2024 with accessories, piles cybergoth, glam rock, emo and indie sleaze paraphernalia into a single neon register. The output runs to stacks of 3D-printed bangles, eight-inch Pleasers studded in metal, snapbacks spiked in sterling silver and cowboy boots buried under highlighter-yellow paint. What makes it more than costume is the reframing: an aesthetic from before Adriaens’ own time, reanimated for an algorithmic audience that rewards excess.
