Minnesota artist Lydia Hansen crochets native Midwest mushrooms and tucks them along hiking trails, inviting walkers to encounter them with the same surprise they’d feel meeting the real thing. Her ‘Fungi Hunts’ began in 2023 as a way to care for her mental health through weekly hikes. This summer marks the third iteration of the project, on view at the Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center in Minnesota.
