Ella & Pitr: Monumental Joyful Murals Fill Urban Rooftops and Fields

The French duo Ella & Pitr paint enormous curled figures — often the elderly, refugees, and other historically marginalized people — across entire public squares, rooftops, and playing fields. Sometimes laughing, sometimes asleep, the giants wedge into fountains and parking lots as expressions of joy, resilience, and individuality. The pair are slated for an exhibition, Points de Suspension, at Galerie Jonathan Roze in Rennes, France.
