Dansk Returns: Rescuing a Danish-American Design Icon

When cookware company Food52 collapsed into bankruptcy, its most storied asset — the heritage Scandinavian tabletop brand Dansk — was ‘the caboose in the auction.’ It was rescued by Form Portfolios, a Rhode Island and Copenhagen studio that had already spent years working with the family of co-founder Jens Quistgaard to protect his legacy. Now the beloved Danish-American brand, known for its enamelled Kobenstyle pots and its warm mix of teak, brass and copper, is being returned to its roots.
