Stan Hema: Berlin Museum — Typefaces Borrowed from the U-Bahn and Currywurst Stands

The Stiftung Stadtmuseum has realigned its master brand under a single new name — Berlin Museum — pulling the Märkisches Museum, the Nikolaikirche and its other sites together beneath one wordmark. Stan Hema’s rationale was blunt: too few people knew the museum existed, fewer still knew what it held. The new name accentuates the museum inside Stadtmuseum, travels across languages, and trades the dusty-history-institution image for something closer to civic signage.
