Simji Park draws from the ordinary texture of a day — wind on a dog walk, leaves moving, a conversation overheard on a train, the feel of paper turning. Her illustrations are calm, tactile and impressionistic: insects, animals and tiny figures scuttling across patchwork scenes in which nature is never far away. Materials are chosen by feeling rather than habit, shifting between pencil, watercolour, oil and digital depending on what the idea needs.
