With over ten years in DIY music, Philadelphia artist, composer and ‘improviser’ Sam Wenc makes album covers, show posters and merchandise that feel as handmade as the records they wrap. His soulful, non-flashy, folky collage approach spans design, sculpture, textile art and poetry — all, he says, ‘pulling from the same well’ rooted in his relationship with sound. He is co-founder of the record label Lobby Art Editions.
