Bijou Karman has spent a decade moving between fine art, commercial illustration and design, but self-publishing has been the constant. Peace Eye is a fictional magazine following one woman’s psychedelic and sexual awakening as she sheds patriarchal constraint, drawn from 1970s feminist publications. The visual language pulls equally from 90s punk posters, vintage men’s magazines and old yoga books.
