Adelene Koh: Heritage Bookbinding Transformed into Contemporary Sculpture

After falling for bookbinding at the New York Art Book Fair in 2011, Adelene Koh trained in Japan and London before setting up her Taiwan studio, dddots. Drawing on the technical precision and heritage of the craft, she folds paper and thread into sculptural forms that abandon the book’s function while keeping its logic. The work earned her a place among the 30 finalists for this year’s Loewe Foundation Craft Prize.
