St Paul’s Cathedral by Pentagram: A Stone-Carved Identity for the People’s Cathedral

Pentagram London, led by Domenic Lippa, gives one of the city’s most iconic landmarks a new identity rooted in the cathedral’s own history. The stone-carved wordmark with its off-kilter elevated S and T was lifted from typography found in the Cathedral’s Library and built in collaboration with St Paul’s in-house stonemasons; the palette — red on pink, duck egg blue on navy, maroon on pillar-box red — was sampled directly from the building’s own fabric.
